In November 1923, Hillel at the University of Illinois, the first Hillel in the world, held its first public event.

This year, on November 12, 2023 we will mark Hillel's 100th birthday. Join Illini Hillel, the Hillels of Illinois and the greater Chicagoland community for a celebration featuring hors d'oeuvresat Bryn Mawr Country Club as Illini Hillel, the Hillels of Illinois, and the global Hillel Movement reflect on 100 years of work and service.

The Hillels of Illinois Endowment Foundation was created in partnership with the Jewish Federation’s Agency Endowment Program, which was established to ensure that Hillels of Illinois and our sister Agencies have the necessary resources to meet growing and evolving Jewish community needs. All commitments are recognized as gifts to the Jewish Federation's Centennial Campaign.
